A new distillery is coming. Our mission is to bring back the wild and un-tame the city with beautifully feral spirits.
We use wild species and foraged plants. Plants that have not been changed through cultivation, whose essence is the same as it was before us. And when we craft spirits with the more familiar crops, we reimagine what's possible for the fruits and grains that have changed alongside us.
Breaking the rules for art is freeing and dangerous. In this spirit, we welcome the wild into Portland.
We are located in the Central Eastside Industrial District, where underground artists sticker telephone poles and spray-paint-virtuosos festoon brick walls. A wildly creative neighborhood of artists and makers. We are all just two steps from the wilderness in our hearts.
We are currently working on setting up our equipment and developing recipes. Keep an eye on our social media for updates!
Escape to the forest. Drink great spirits. Stay wild.

Head Distiller Anna Mantheakis (@anna.distills) grew up on the edge of undeveloped forest land, with no street lights, sidewalks, or pavement. Living and working in Central Eastside as a whiskey distiller, she fell in love with its wild side. The feral art of graffiti on train cars. The rebellious kingdom of crows. The wild artists who love tattoos and getting lost in the woods.
Before founding Urban Wild Spirits, Anna found her calling when she distilled wild ingredients for the Four Corners Gin. Made entirely from plants that grow naturally in North America, the gin won Best New Spirit at ADI, 2024.
"I found myself reaching for something I lost when I moved to the grid. And I think it's something city folks reach for when they go backpacking. The freedom of passing beyond the world we created for ourselves."
